From September 19, 2024 to January 26, 2025, the Museum Wiesbaden will present the extensive work of Alison Knowles, a central figure in the Fluxus movement, from her earliest works to the present. The exhibition sheds light on the idealistic aspects of the Fluxus movement and the spirit of the times. The focus of the retrospective is on Knowles' sensitive and poetic art and her unique view of the world and everyday life, through painting, sculpture, sound works and performances.
One of her key works - The House of Dust - will take part in the major exhibition after tinyBE . living in a sculpture. The artist designed it for tinyBE in 2021 and had it built using 3D printing on Kranzplatz in Wiesbaden. After 4 exhibitions, it will now be shown once again and will then say goodbye during the exhibition period on October 31, 2024.
Jana Dennhard is the curator.
