"Closer to Nature" is the name of the meaningful group exhibition at the Berlinische Galerie, in which MY-CO SPACE by MY-CO-X will also be presented in a new context from February 16th to October 14th, 2024, the sculpture from the exhibition tinyBE . living in a sculpture in Frankfurt/M. Wherever people build, nature is destroyed. This dilemma is becoming ever clearer in view of finite resources and the enormous share that construction contributes to global warming. Three Berlin projects show how opponents can become players. To do this, interdisciplinary teams are using the latest technologies to tap into the potential of mushrooms, trees and clay. Their buildings gain an ecological quality from the green materials, but also a completely new character: they breathe, grow and thus come to life themselves. The surprisingly sensual experience of this architecture creates a conscious relationship with our environment and can thus have a lasting effect beyond the material.

The interdisciplinary artist group MY-CO-X has been involved in several exhibitions since 2021. From September 15, 2024 to February 9, 2025, works can be seen in the Sinclair-Haus Museum in Bad Homburg in the exhibition "Pilze – Verflochtene Welten" (Mushrooms – Interwoven Worlds). The exhibition goes in search of mushrooms and provides insights into a fascinating interwoven world.
The tinyBE gGmbH team is very pleased about these developments. Further reports on the sustainable tinyBE sculptures will follow.
